Bronze Buddha - 21" Sukothai Style Earth Witness Mudra

This beautifully cast bronze is a reproduction of a Buddha from the beginning of the Sukothai art period (central Thailand in the early 12th century). The Sukothai art period is considered by scholars and art historians to be the apogee of Thai art. The simple lines and "flame of enlightenment" coming from the top of the head, provides a sense of Noble tranquility and peace.
