Furoshiki Throw Pillows - Silk Japanese Furoshiki

This distinctive collection of decorative pillows have been skillfully crafted from authentic Japanese Furoshiki (fu-ro-shi-ki), a type of traditional wrapping cloth used to transport cloths, gifts, or other goods. The beautiful chirimen (crinkle textured rayon crepe) fabrics of the furoshiki we used are printed with Ukiyo-e "the Pictures of the Floating World" woodblock designs. Ukioy-e are among the most widely known and admired art of the Edo period (17th to 19th century Japan). The pillows measure approximately 24" x 24" square. The vibrant colors and whimsical designs make a dramatic decor statement. Quantities very limited. Covers zip off for easy dry cleaning.
