These beautiful folding tatami mats are essentially a one-of-a-kind work of art. Tatami grass has been expertly hand-woven and tie-dyed with unique Thai Ikat patterns and edged with durable fabric trim and convenient carry handles. They are perfect for use on the floor to define your sacred space or meditation area and are durable enough to be used as a comfortable picnic or beach mat. They can also be hung on the wall to create a unique ethnic decor statement in any room. Our mats have been designed for low impact living. Not only has the sustainable tatami grass been organically grown (without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides), but the dyes used are all natural pigments found in roots, leaves,flowers and berries. They are offered in three sizes and a color range from light to medium to dark brown earth tones.
