Opened or folded in half, our tatami mats sewn with a layer of soft foam with the underside fabric provide a comfortable cushion under a zafu meditation pillow. Traveling or going on a meditation retreat? Roll it up, slip on the tatami sleeve (comes with the mat), and carry it over your shoulder using the sewn-in carry straps. Tatami is a grass reed that when dried and processed becomes soft and durable. Our mats are meticulously woven on hand looms and trimmed with beautiful silk-blend fabrics.
